My New Monitor
I replaced my overheated LG Flatron with a Samsung SyncMaster.

Samsung SyncMaster 732N plus
Design wise, it looks cool. The design kind of reminds me of the mini version of Samsung’s HDTV. I like the glossy black frame. Downside of the glossy looks? Well, finger stains. That is not so much of a problem though, because a special cloth to wipe the frame is provided in the package.
Technical specification? 5ms response time, 2000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, and the downside is that it doesn’t have a DVI-Digital input. At first I was planning to get a monitor with DVI-D, but I changed my mind in the end because I don’t have any plans to upgrade my old school GeForce2 card. I am not much of a gamer, and even if I have a monitor with DVI-D input, it’s not like I am going to use it.

Connecting the display panel to its stand is a rough job. You have to push it so hard to the monitor stand. Well, I eventually got it on to the stand. Anyway, unlike Dell’s monitor, there’s no adjustable stand on this monitor. The height can’t be adjusted. It can only be tilted, and that’s the only adjustment can be made. Too bad this monitor can’t be turn around. I kinda miss how I can turn around my CRT when I was still using it.

So far I am quite happy with it. I guess Samsung never disappoints their customer with their displays. And guess where this monitor is made from? Seremban. And the box states that this product is strictly for sale in Malaysian Market only.

Wah, I like this design. However, I have my own monitor in my mind, Samsung 940BW, it’s a widescreen monitor, as I do a lot of designing and browsing stuff.

I’Ve check the price in low yatt, it’s around RM619,
does the 732N plus differs with the 732N? or is it the same thing?

As far as I know, 732N plus have better contrast and lower respond time. The time I bought this monitor, it was RM569.
