Free MMORPG and other Free MMO Games

After asking around from my friends and did some googling, I manage to collect a list of Free MMO games that everyone can enjoy. Yes, and all of these are for free. I repeat, FREE!!! I know there’s a lot of cheap ass people who just wanted to play free online games. I am one of them.

I am always looking for a replacement to my Ragnarok Online addiction when it became pay-to-play few years back. I was so addicted to it that I spend hours playing it, and that time I was still using dialup!! And that time it was free because it was a open beta test. Now it’s gone commercial, and so I look for alternatives.

Anyway, here’s the list. Not only MMORPGs though, there’s other genres like FPS and simulations. ALL of these games can be played for free, and most is supported by Cash Premium Items. So it’s basically free, but you have cooler items if you pay.

Games I Have Tried:

FlyFF (Fly For Fun) – http://flyff.gpotato.com/
As the name suggested, Fly for Fun. A decent looking 3D MMORPG, with features such as the usual monster whacking, partying, guild wars, trading, quests, and of course not forgetting the FLYING part! You can fly once you reached level 20, but so far I haven’t reach that level. I just started not a while ago. But it’s quite fun so far, maybe because I have a friend to buff me all the way leveling. Just imagine Level 6 hitting level 20 monster.

This is one unique online game. Other than the usual whacking monster and leveling, there’s extra feature like economies and politics. You can trade in stock market, sell in market, vote in elections, and choose who to govern the server. Interesting concept, and it’s quite enjoyable. And this game is extremely cute. The first time I login to the game, I was told to whack those cute racoon in the tutorial. Well, try the game and you know which monster I am talking about.

School uniforms, whacking baddies, school vs school, yada yada yada… The game has too little character class. And to make things worse is that each character class is gender specific. Male characters can’t use mage class and female character can’t use fighter class. So, in this game, you will see a lot of “MMORPG” phenomenon. Many Men Online Role Playing Girls. It could be those people who have fetish for school girls in uniform, but heck, making character class gender specific is a no-no

This game is quite fun. One of the game that I never get bored playing. This is a MMOFPS. Just imagine all the matrix-like-speedy moves you can do, well provided you have a decent keyboard and speedy fingers. Too bad this game is not localized in Malaysia. The high ping makes killing quite hard.

Online Golf Game. Super Cute. Moelicious girls. I kinda enjoy this game, and you can become even more cute with those item bought in the Item Mall. Well, cash items gives cooler stuff, that’s a fact. But hey, you can play for free, and it’s fun. So, who cares?

GunBound – http://gunbound.softnyx.net
Worms-like game. Take turn, shoot each other, until your opponent dies. This game depends on your physics skills to own. Well, kinda. It’s cool to do all those high shot and hit your opponent accurately. I kinda enjoy this game, but now I stopped playing, because most of my friends quited this game too.

Anymore games to add?

While gaming online is well established online colleges are also becoming more and more accepted as online classes often cost institutions and people less money. By getting an online education you might be able to access classes that you normally wouldn’t be able to and an online degree is becoming more and more acceptable to employers all the time.
