Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire

October 5th, 2006 in Writings

I’m 18 this year. I have to remind myself that. I am not so young anymore. I have spent around 12 years in school, and I have met all kinds of people from all walks of life. I believe I will meet more people in the future.

Liars are a few types of people I have met. Nobody can stop lying. It’s unavoidable. So far I haven’t seen anyone that is so honest and never lies. A person lies to cover themselves or to cover their friends. Some people lie for bad intention, like frauding or cheating. Some just like to brag and boast about themselves, while exaggerating it.

For every 1 lie that you tell, you need to have 10 lies to cover it. For the 10 lies you tell, you need another 100 lies to cover it.

That, I quote from one of Jack Neo’s Film, 3??? (One More Chance). In short, it means that you need more lies to cover every lies you tell. You end up tell endless lie just to cover your first lie. Then, you will end up getting caught lying and losing the trust of your friends.

And this is the first time of my life, meeting someone who lies, and there’s just too many HOLES in all his LIES. In other words, a N00B LIAR. I must say he’s quite good at memorizing the hundreds of lies that he told his circles of friends. But sad to say, his lies are full of flaws, making me and some of my buddies starts to suspect something is wrong with what he talks about. Suspicious :fishy:

Suspicion 1

This person happens to be a game creator, a programmer. He claims that he owns Big Fish Games, PopCap Games and GameHouse. He creates games for them. I believe all that until he starts bugging me with computer related stuff, like how to use torrent, how to crack a game, and so on. Also, he claims to have 3 antivirus, 2 firewalls and 3 anti spywares in his PC. One word to describe: WOW!

Suspicion 2

There’s always people calling him to his cellphone. He usually talks about his company stuff and order them to do something. He claims to be CEO of a company. It’s weird that his phone never rings during lessons and only rings when we take a break and a few of us went to eat rojak together, along with him. Wait, his phone doesn’t even have a ringtone. Could be on vibrate/silent mode, the thing is, it’s always him and his phonecalls during our rojak break. This phonecalls syndrome gets even weirder when he was in one of my friends’ car, and my friend’s phonecall detector light doesn’t lit when people calls him. Does that mean he’s acting up all his phonecall? What’s the purpose?

Suspicion 3

He told me that he interviewed one Curtin U graduate from Miri, applying for an Accountant position in his company. He says that the graduate studied ACCA in Curtin. An Australian university offering UK qualification. I always thought they offer CPA qualified accounting programme, rather than ACCA.

Suspicion 4

He gives me a number of games. Claimed created by him, so he give me full version for free. And guess what? A text file saying downloaded from Demonoid. 8O

Pants on Fire

Those obvious lie. I am still wondering why the hell he lie so much. I know I am not in the position to know why, and I guess there will be a lot of commenter that will say, “Get a life instead of listing why that person is a freaking liar”. I did some conclusion, after kaypo-ing talking with my other friends about this big fat liar. They do have doubts in EVERYTHING he says.

I come up with 2 conclusion. It’s either he is sick (depress, or fantasizing his life), or he just enjoy making fun of his circles of friend.

To be use when he is answering/making so-called “important calls”:-
Next time he do the phoning stunt again, call his hp when he is in the middle of call. Laugh and boo loudly at him when his hp started to ring in the middle of the “conversation”. Humiliate him in front of all friends or mamak until he cry and run off or jump out of the car.

Should the above method failed then it could be the case whereby he is really answering/making an actual call to his unverified company. Fret not, borrow his hp immediately after he ends the call (faking no credit in ur own hp) and view the last dialled number. If you dare, chat with his so-called employee/collegue else just copy the number for future reference.

This kind of ppl lies only to feed their own self-esteem and such pathetic person should be tattooed with big fluorescent green “LOSER” on their forehead. Fake, lying bastards should flock together with their own kind. Period!

@ pretenders: Nice idea. Actually me and my friends do want to try, but ack… sometime it feels so bad to do something like that  And one of my friend actually borrowed his hp and checked his last dialled number, and guess what? NO NEW RECIEVED/DIALLED NUMBER for the day!

@ Subkiller: Hahaha… nice lie… he’s being boastful? Could be… Now that now every words comes out from his mouth or his action, it feels like fake to me. Like an act X/

My group of friend used to have friends like these. Boasting sleeping with many gals, but when we ask one of the gal, she says no ler. Boasting got lots of money in bank, but dun dare to show to us in ATM. Backstabbing friends by talking bad about friends within same group, when we ask the fellow, found different version of story or even non existence. Fabricate rumors about our groups to others group of friends. Doing business also not honest and wanna eat friends share. Asking for endless favor/help disregard of others time/expense and call u ungrateful when u failed/refuse to comply(only applied to those whom has ever receive his favor/help), in short, like u own him 18 generation of descendants.

Others all doubt about what he says but we as his friend just take it easy and let him be. Other groups of friend starting to avoid our group. When he got screw up, even we as his friend also loss face and credibility. People tend to believe that “Birds of the Same Feather Flock Together”. So when one of your friend are like these, others will think all his friends are same kind like him.

Like Chapree says: Avoided at all cost !! Better still, had him avoid us guys by doing him kau kau using method posted earlier. (might not work if he is reading this blog :p). Save your kindness for others and no need show mercy. These kind of ppl are like cancers to friendship.

Learn how to see a person. Now, before making conclusion of the lies, make a conclusion of the person he is. Maybe he just wanted to protect himself? Or maybe he has a low self-esteem thought you guys/friends will leave him?

Conclusion? I don’t really know him. Can’t really conclude anything cos it seems like all of his words and action are fake and lie.

He already lie in the first week of my semester. It was the end of class, and he was like in a big sigh. So i asked him, “Why you sigh?”. He said, “Business… company call this and that…”. That’s when he claims that he’s a game programmer for big fish games. That’s when I start having doubts in him. What is a game programmer doing in ITF studying accounts? I checked big fish games website, and it is based in America! The longer we are in the same class, the more lie he tells, the more doubts me and my coursemates have in him.

I don’t see he have anything to protect. Though I can’t really make a conclusion out of him, but I think he’s either sick, or just enjoy fooling around his friend. But I presume the later is more of him.

That’s why I said conclude him as in personal. You’re keep concluding his act/word. Anyway, since you don’t really know him, then… Forget him… lol~!

[...] I learn a lot in my course. Not just the boring debit-credit, but I learn a lot of new things, like how businesses runs, setting up companies, and managing people. Those knowledge is one of the stepping stone to my dream, to setup my own company to take over the world. But the first thing in this taking over the world mission is to beat the hell out of Micro$oft.. Looks like I didn’t make a bad choice choosing CAT. Not to forget, this is year is also when I met the lousiest liar. [...]
