Presentation is BORING
I am now blogging live from my institution. Now all of us are doing presentation. But heck, this presentation is soooooooooo boring. Boring, boring and boring. No excitement, and the presenter is like talking to themselves? No offense. I mean, now I’m blogging while my coursemate is presenting. You can imagine the boringness. Hahahaha…
Sigh~ I wonder if I will become like them too. Lame presentation and everyone doing their own thing. I do hope I can attract more people to listen to me. Still, I doubt I can do that.
Anyway, good luck to myself -_-”

Malaysia’s Internet TUBE IS CLOGGED!
I am sure most of you watched this. The coolest quote from this video is, “Internet is a series of tube!”.
The first time I watch this video, I laughed my ass off. Internet is a series of tube, and how poker clogged the tube.
It seems like TMNet is trying so hard to clean up the clog in the Malaysian Internet Tube. Perhaps TMNet’s “plumber” aren’t efficient enough to clean up the dirts and and mess, and that’s why it took them 2 weeks to clean those dirts. Amazing eh?
I do hope they can clean all the dirts and clog in the internet tube faster. I’m so sick of the internet being slow. There’s a temporary workaround though. Either avoid the 60 ip or use a proxy.

How Slowmyx Affected Me.
Streamyx is like super slow this few days. Imagine visiting a website where you have to like hit (as in pressing violently :D) the F5 button a few times. Frequent timeouts. Extremely slow.
My activity on the internet has dropped to almost 0%. I can’t torrent, I can’t watch videos at youtube, I surf websites until I am frustrated. Thanks to Subkiller’s workaround, I manage to make the web a little more surf-able. But this workaround won’t work if the connection to TMNet is full of timeouts too. Which means, during peak hours, I can’t do anything on the web. This situation reminds me of dial up, only worse.
Somehow, the slowness in streamyx affected me, physically (or mentally, whateverlah..). I have my CAT class yesterday. Everything that teacher taught seems so hard, and it took me so long to digest. Everything seems so blur. And what she taught is something I’ve learn during secondary school, only it’s in English. See how big the impact of slowmyx on a geek?
Seriously, everything seems so wrong when streamyx makes you scream. It affected me, a lot. There’s like thousands of typos when I’m chatting, I kept team killing in Battlefield 2 when I was playing in CyberCafe, I accidently deleted one of my backup files, all my villagers die in my Virtual Villagers game, and there’s too many things that goes wrong. Too much to list out
Anyway, I checked TMNet’s website. They announced service maintenance. And look! MIRI IS AFFECTED!! And I do hope they do things according to their schedule. This nightmare will be over soon.

Congratulations! Streamyx is SO SLOW!
I have like 3 drafts on my wordpress dashboard, but I decided to rant about streamyx for today.
TMNet announced service interuption for 2 weeks, starting 5th September. They claim to have slow browsing from 12am to 6am. And surfing is like worst than shit since afternoon just now. The whole Miri is affected, as far as I know. I’m not so sure about the other parts in Malaysia though.
What makes me even more angry is the fact that the TMNet’s Speedometer is just a big piece of bullshit. During the slowdown, where surfing is like 80% of the time timeouts, when I check the speed at the speedometer, it shows a perfect 700-800 Kbps, that is 60% of my subscribed speed as their promised “best effort basis”. Hah. My ass. Bullshit speedometer. It took me a while to load Google and my site. I actually save a copy of this post to notepad, just in case timeout halfway publishing this post.
I don’t get it. Why TMNet is the only wire-based broadband provider in Miri? There’s no other ISP other than TMNet. Wait, there’s Jaring, cos as I know, there’s still people using Jaring’s 1511 in Miri. As for their broadband, their website shows that Miri is not covered. So, there’s like 2 line-broadband in Malaysia, and Jaring is only providing for the Klang Valley, and yea, everyone is relying on TMNet Streamyx. If the TMNet’s Datacenter burnt down, raped by some Tsunami or Godzilla, I wonder what would happen to the whole Malaysia? Internet-less.
This is quite an old news, but I like to bring it up. Those people take those time to do the research and developement on data transmiting via electric cable. And they actually have to technology to do it, and yet our lovely government tend to protect the MAJOR internet provider in Malaysia, TMNet. Government says NO to ISP rights for TNB, and all these research are down the drain. Ouch~ Kinda reminds me of how the ministry rejects DiGi’s application for the 3G thing. What a turn down. DiGi is now the only mobile telecomunication provider in Malaysia with no 3G.
Even a country as small as Singapore have 4 ISP. Malaysia? Yeay! Streamyx only lor~~
Updates: Looks like my speed is OK for today.
My rants is so worth it ![]()
