Virtual Talk vs Real Talk
I got a really, really interesting fact few days ago:
Two People can CHAT nonstop. Put them together, and silence is all you hear.
Interesting, isn’t it? My lecturer told our class just now. She said that she has students (our seniors) that can actually chat nonstop in the computer lab, and when they sit together, they keep quiet. Mind you, both of them is like sitting so near, and yet, they use MSN to communicate when they are in the computer lab. The distance is like 1.5 metres away. And I know the condition of computer lab, it’s always unoccupied. Talking to each other won’t be a problem.
The issue here; Why can they chat nonstop on MSN, and yet they don’t talk when sitting next to each other, as if they’re stranger? Weird isn’t it? It’s not like they don’t know they’re chatting to each other in the computer lab.
They can chat, but they can’t talk. It’s sad isn’t it? Is it so hard to face each other, open your mouth and start talking?
I guess anyone can be anything when it comes to virtual. They dare to do things they don’t in the real world. I believe one can be totally different in chat room and in real life. One can talk nonstop and totally freakin funny in a chat room, and a quiet shy person in real life. One can be so expressive in their blog, and when they’re asked to speak out, they kept quiet. Just like me… i think… maybe..
Talking isn’t that hard isn’t it?

In my opinion that is not the case… in a virtual conversation, you get more time to think about your reply hence getting a more desired result, as compared to 1 on 1 conversation in a real world enviroment.. one wrong word can really ruin things.. That is my opinion..

This reminds me of myself during my schooldays. I used to chat so much.. nonstop, getting to know so many friends. And when I really met those friends in real life (yup, Miri is that small.. lol), my heart kept beating so fast (I think I burned many calories) I couldn’t say anything. Ahh.. how silly I was.

Well, we do talk, right?
What my lecturer talk about is a worst case. They’re like sitting together and they don’t even talk. My lecturer even tell us that there’s one case where they go to the extend of SMS-ing instead of talking!! And they’re sitting so near to each other
Isn’t that weird?
