My Site’s Revamp
KCYap’s Competition has ended. I have finished developing the basic part of my theme for the competiton, Dreams. And now, it’s time for me to revamp my site. This will be the biggest revamp throughout almost 2 years in the blogosphere.
If you are Clueless Dream’s regular, I bet you noticed that going to geminigeek.com redirects you automatically to blog.geminigeek.com. After my site’s revamption, I will make my blog located at geminigeek.com/blog instead of the using a blog subdomain. For those linking me using blog.geminigeek.com, I recommend you to change it to geminigeek.com, without /blog or the blog subdomain.
Second change is of course the theme. I will not be using Dreams. The theme for my revamp is a totally “personal use only” theme. Unless someone beg me, which I doubt, I might consider releasing the theme for public. The toughest thing about developing a theme for public is that you have to make it user-friendly. If you are developing a theme for personal use, who would want to complain if it is a big fuss to edit, or it doesnt come with a theme config page? No one, isn’t it? Get my point? Theme for public release does take more works than theme for personal use.
“When a geek blogs nothing geeky…” is Clueless Dream’s tagline. It will stay the same after my site’s revamption. Since I won’t be blogging geek related stuff in Clueless Dream, I decided to create another blog where I blog computer and techy stuff, my personal experience in this high tech world with a low end PC. I decided not to combine the 2 blog because I don’t want my personal stuff to mix with techy stuff. It’s just not right. ![]()
I guess that’s it after a few days hiatus. Life has been boring without school, and I just don’t have the inspiration to write.
