man, if you really got financial prob and with a good result try on scholarship(asean, jpa, petronas,the star or any scholarship that is worth a try which offer flexibelity).
me not pro in advice here but whith your good result i`m sure somewhere you got place.

try to go for the scholarship as mentioned above..

I can’t offer you much cos’ all options have their pros and cons..
Listen too much will only make it more confusing and frustrating.. cos’ different people have different opinions..

Think of what you wanna do… and then how to get there..
what option do you have… by weighing the time and money factors..
then decide..

from a professor : in the end it’s just another piece of paper…don’t spend too much time and $$ pursuing the paper.. cos the paper is just a ticket to get hired.. and they can give you 101 reasons why they wanna fire you thereafter…

Try applying for the Asean scholarship . see tony p’s posting here http://educationmalaysia.blogspot.com/2005/10/2006-asean-pre-university-scholarships.html . The Junior colleges in Singapore are much better than Form 6 classes in Malaysia and after the Asean scholarship you can probably get in NUS, NTU or SMU. Banks in Singapore lend up to 80 % of university tuition fees.

Your results are quite good. It’s time to fill in scholarship forms…jpa, petronas, la la la la…lotsa options.
There’s also other forms such as UPU and colleges forms. At the end of the days, you’ll just choose one of the offer that given to you. Sounds simple but waiting games are no fun.

For your result, you might go for college and ask for some scholarships. If that fails, then you might consider PTPTN loan. That will definitely save you at least one year to get you in working life.

If financial is really a big problem AND you are confident to do “better than average” in STPM, go form 6. It’s definitely cheaper than any college out there. I can be quite sure than you can get IT course in local universities easily, if you do form 6. The downside of this is to waste 1 year.

But, think of it, how much you can earn in one year, with around rm1800 a month? Does it worth coming out 1 year earlier but spent extra .. maybe 30K to study in college?

There is few ways like kiet says, form6 is a good option, but it will take longer in term of time to spread out the cost.

Another way is to work first. Working a year or a year-half should get your some money. Then attend to TARC, you shall need some extra financial aid somewhere, but it won’t be much if you get a high pay sales commission job.
