Anime Freak vs DotA Freak
I have my MSN logs all my chat. My brother and I both are using MSN to communicate with our friends. We added each other too, to ease communication, since he’s upstairs most of the time and I am at the living room.
It just so happen I doing some spring cleaning on my PC just now. And I decided to deleted these chat logs to free up disk spaces on this PC. And I opened up the chat log between my brother and I. And here’s what I can see on the log:
My Bro: no dl. i wan dota.
Me: okok
*****
My Bro: i wan gaming, no dl.
Me: sure.
*****
My Bro: no dl pls thx
Me: ok
*****
My Bro: no dl no dl no dl
Me: okokokok
*****
My Bro: i wan gaming. stop dl.
Me: right..
*****
My Bro: stop dl, i wan dota…
Me: ok..
And it goes on and on….
This is what you get when you get a anime-freak and a dota-freak. X/

Why don’t you set a speed limit? I don’t think that DoTA needs all that bandwidth. I used to download and play just fine.

My brother kept getting disconnected from his wireless connection whenever I’m doing heavy downloads, though not as bad as timing out, like what his porn download can do (refer here).
I just have to tolerate. He’s playing at blueserver, and he don’t want to be banned for being a “leaver.

Ah yes… wireless really sucks for playing online, especially if there’s a combination of cable and wireless together.

Even if you on MSN or Yahoo Msgr while playing DotA will lag you at least 1 sec..
Limiting the bandwidth (kbps/sec) will do the same.
Lag has NOTHING to do with bandwidth.
Lesson from years of DotA-ing.

H4RRY, I know, lag has nothing to do with bandwidth. It’s just that his wireless connection is pretty unstable when I start to download stuff. Sometime he just get disconnected from the router. That’s why I have to stop download, trying to keep my router work-free.
I quitted DotA long time ago, just because I always lose to my brother playing 1v1, LAN.

He owns me almost all the time, or maybe I’m just too noobish to play with him. I rarely play DotA, unlike him, he plays every night, every time after his work.
