HELP ME!! My Site Might Suffer Downtime!! :(

August 15th, 2005 in Site Related

I’ve been blogging for a year. Normally my free 1gb bandwidth is always enough for me, since my site doesn’t have a very high traffic. Unfortunately, this month’s traffic is leaping like hell. It increase, increase and increase, and the rates is freaking me out. It’s only 15 August, and my bandwidth usage is almost at the limit, 800mb!! 200mb to survive for another 16 days, which I think is pretty impossible.

The reason for this bandwidth increased is because of my newly created Let’s Study blog. This is where I make a blog educational for SPM 2005 candidates. I’ve been writing and posting some post regarding the Additional Maths Project, and that particular post get a lot of hits!! :yikes:

Here, I would like you all to help me. Do any of you know any free webhost that offers about 20-50 mb webspace with at least 2GB bandwidth with the possibility to host my domain, geminigeek.com? I need it as soon as possible before my site reaches the limit. I bet that most of you might ask why I don’t buy webhost when I buy tmy domain.Well, I have sponsor on my domain and I got my webhost for free. So far, I’ve been blogging without paying any cents. The adsense placed here is not mine, so I’m not earning anything either.

Could anyone help me find a free webhost?

If you’ve got a winner of a blog but can’t afford the bandwidth, just host that particular blog on places like Blogger. Saves the troubles and hassle and sometimes headaches involved when using a free webhost.

Try frihost.com for the free host….need forum posting though…

Btw, are you interested in the hosting modules that I’m planning to sell? For more info, check out in my blog here

In your case, I think you’ll probably need 5 modules (200MB storage, 2GB bandwidth), which will cost you only USD 10 per year…

Let me know if you’re interested..

    Ouch!

Too late. I never expect the increase of the bandwidth that much. I didnt even reach 300mb last month. This month’s traffic has increased unexpectedly.

Well, since you suggested blogger, is there a way to export wordpress entries to blogger?

Try blogsome.com, it’s a free ‘wordpress’ hosting. It doesn’t have that ugly “blogger” logo on top, just some good ads.
