WP Theme: Cherry Berry
Well, in the end I decided to make Cherry Berry a Public Release. Cherry Berry PR is a bit different from the Cherry Berry theme I’m using in my site. Yeap, just a bit. Anyway, Cherry Berry is a theme that uses red color, red color, and more red color

Installation Notes:-
- Download the package here.
- Extract the package, and upload the whole folder to your
/wp-content/themes/folder in your wordpress folder. - Activate the theme in your Wordpress Admin Panel (Presentation).
- That’s it, it’s all done
Additional Notes:-
- I’ve included 2 stylesheet in the package, Fixed Width (FW) and Fluid (FL) stylesheet. The default stylesheet is FW. To use the FL stylesheet, just rename
style-fl.csstostyle.css. Just make sure you keep backup for both stylesheet, just in case you want to change them. - To make use of the Archives Page, create a page and use
archives.phpas the page template.
Difference between FW and FL?
- FW uses fixed width, 720pixel and it is compatible with any resolution with 800 x 600 and above. FW uses images for the shadow effects on top and at the wrapper.
- FL uses percentage, compatible with any resolution with 640 x 480 and above. FL doesn’t use any images, so there’s no shadow effects on top and the wrapper.
Updated!!
I’ve just check my theme for problems. There’s indeed problem, for those who doesn’t have the required plugin (although I commented it, but php will still be parse). So here’s the updated version, I’ve removed all the part that requires external plugin. By the way, try not to use any download managers/splitter to download this file. It’s just a small 13.2kb 15kb file.
Another Update
Thanks to Makki for pointing out that the link is broken. I tried login in to the server that hosted the theme file, and I found out that the webhost is gone. Now, I am not able to recover to the theme files, and I couldn’t find it anywhere in my local disk. If any of you have the theme archive, please send them to me. Thanks
Finally, I have found Cherry Berry, after searching up and down on the net. Well, my theme was translated to German (if I’m not mistaken), so I downloaded the package and translate it back to English. Please inform me if there’s any other translation errors. X/
If you have any problems regarding this theme, feel free to leave a comment or directly email me.

Siau Liang, it would be advisable to rename your header graphic for the theme into something other than “banner.jpg”. Because this is a commonly blocked name for anti-advertising apps or FF extensions like AdBlock.
And people shouldn’t miss it, because it’s such a nice work of art.

Nice theme — I’ve just added it to my comprehensive list of wordpress themes.
Just out of curiousity, is there any particular reason why you choose not to utilize categories on your blog? In putting together my theme list, I came across a link to Cherry Berry, but it actually went to your home site. I looked for a ‘themes’ category to quickly find the post related to the themes, but there was none so I browsed throught the archives until I came across the post I was looking for. Implementing categories might help your site viewers navigate your blog more easily and it will give you a boost in the search engines and technorati,

Emily from How to Blog, actually my blog started uncategorized. I was using cutenews that time. Until i migrate to wordpress, im still used to uncategorizing my blog. As for easier theme navigation, I will add a theme page until I release the second theme.
Thanks for the suggestion. Actually now I am categorizing my blog, but there’s more 150 post be categorize. I have to read through them. I hope I can finish moving my blog entry into appropriate category, but all this is only after my exams. 3 weeks exam…… X/

Hii,
Accidently bumped into your nice cherry berry:roll:. Teach me how to upload this theme file to the theme directory. Currently I just activate whatever there are in the directory. I`m totally new to this blogging world..and still lack of knowledge. Really appreciate your help
September 10th, 2005 at 5:31 pm
I guess when you extract the zip, you will get a folder named cherry-berry-pr. Just upload the whole folder to your /wp-content/themes directory. then, go to your wordpress administration. Under Presentation, activate Cherry Berry PR. View your site and its done

Hey all — was hoping that someone could clue me in on a total n00b CSS issue:
I’m trying to customize the Random Image Theme for Wordpress, and I’m running into a small — but *incredibly annoying* — problem.
I’m trying to make the background of the content area white. The background of navigation column that runs down the right side is not plain white (FFFFFF). Rather Photoshop’s color picker claims that it’s F9F9F9 — but this isn’t anywhere in the style.css file. There is a .alt that has a background set at F8F8F8, but when I change that to FFFFFF, it doesn’t help.
Where is that shading coming from?
many thanks…
September 24th, 2006 at 1:23 pm
Very nice theme. Love the shading.

the theme is cool, however, it looks a bit empty especially on the banner site.
why not add some background icon there ? just my little suggestion

Hi
I use your CherryBerry for my blog. I love the theme and even though you say
“red”, I say “pink”!
Anyway, I can’t seem to operate widgets. Is it not widget-ready??
Thanks
February 10th, 2007 at 9:13 am
This theme is old, and is meant for Wordpress 1.5, though the coding is somewhat 2.0 compatible (not sure about 2.1). That’s why this theme is not WP2.0 friendly, where the option page and widget is not part of this theme. To customize the theme, you have to get your hands dirty, editing the files

Fantastic theme. I use this on my site in Poland.
Thanks and greetings
