Nike vs. Made In Malaysia
My sister got into badminton recently. But, she doesn’t even have a proper shoe, which makes her always borrow shoe from my dad. She can’t borrow mine, my feet are bigger :tounge:
Me: Sis, why don’t want to buy your own shoe?
Sis: Maybe this month lah. You think how much a shoe will cost ha?
Me: Maybe around RM70-RM100 eeh. Depend on what brand la.
Sis: So cheap meh?
Me: Ler, what brand you want to buy? The “1 tick” is of course expensive lah. The “3 ticks” is of course cheaper la.
Sis: 3 Ticks? What brand ooo?
Me: Neh, the one got red, blue and yellow tick aaa. Made in Malaysia one. Hahahahah

adoih my comment didn’t get through. Here it is again:
Badminton shoes – Best go for Carlton or Yonex. They cost about rm69.90 to rm80. Rough estimate – two years back’s observation.
Nikes don’t make good badminton shoes – heck, they don’t even make badminton shoes. The Total 90 with the brown sole is probably the best bet, but it’s rm169, and it’s designed for futsal.
Whatever it is, Yonex or Carlton are very good badminton shoes – they specialise in badminton. And you can find them in less than rm100, depending on specific models. They’ve very grippy on parquet – if you don’t wear them out in the sand or gazetted roads. Use them solely on badminton courts, your sister’s shoes will last very long. Afterall, badminton isn’t an expensive sport. If your sis wants to be “in” or “fashionable” in badminton, Nike shoes are not the answer :p Trust me on this. Hehe.

If your sister is really interested in badminton, you should let her buy original shoes. It will be worth it. And, she can also maintain her figure by playing badminton
