What Do Girls Do Online?
I can’t confirm this. But I can see most girls did this. My net friends, my sis, my schoolmate, my classmate.
1st, they connect to their IM’s and then connect to IRC. And then they open Internet Explorer (not Mozilla/Firefox) and they start surfing. But I noticed that their “must-visit” site is Friendster. Then they will check through their friends, their friends’ friends and their friends’ friends’ friends and so on.
Other than Friendster, they will check their mail. Well, of course, Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail is popular one. They will look through the Forwarded Messages 1 by 1.
By just doing that, they can stay on for hours. Even my sis just now, just looking through Friendster took her 1 hour 30 minutes. Just looking at her friends, her friends’ friends and her friends’ friends’ friends.
Just wondering, is all girls like that? Some girl weblogger are not like that I guess, hahaha 
They might have something better to do other than friendster.

hey man u r damn rite! most of the girls are doing this. im not saying all but most. i just back from this clicni in cheras and the staff has been surfing thru this friendster since i reached there by i left about an hour later she is still looking on it. i wonder maybe she probably continue now in her home pc.

Lol, typical isn’t it? If she doesn’t blog, then most probably she’ll do things you mentioned in your post. And oh, I know many girl friends who play games too! Gunbound, RO, Flash games, anything at all - that’d keep them hooked for hours. Friendster? Most of my friends who browse the friends are guys… hehe.
It’s unfair to “sweeping-ly” generalize these two sexes though. So I think your word “most” is very appropriate.

Wah, so kik they online, looking friendster’s friends for 2 hours:eek:? LOL, a girl told me that she can chat with his boy friend online for 4 hours, freaking… As many of them are still using 56k, so their parent wouldn’t like to pay RM200+ telephoney bill, once again, RANTS ABOUT TELEKOM WHY NO STREAMYX SERVICE! but what to do, girl not usually playing online game like MMORPG:unsure:, watching football, so chatting, friendster’ing, mail-foreward’ing became their main usage when online, it is a culture? nobody knows, who cares:grin:…

I hardly ever go into Friendster. More often than not, it’s MSN, Skype (to talk to boyfriend in Singapore) and then downloads followed by forumm stuff. Have no time for Friendster. :noworry: :tounge:

friendster is the top hits in my company (2000++ employee)
therefore, the site has been blocked for access..
i seldom visit friendster unless i feel terrible bored..

I think most if not all girls online are just looking for the hookup - some go to friendster of course - but then theres myspace, match, even adultfriendfinder. ITs all about the hookup - but then hey wait - while were sitting here judging girls - its all the guys too, probably even more so - so i guess its just humans in general

Sounds like what girls do, alright.
I do things differently though, I turn on my pc, exit all the apps that I don’t want running in the background.. yeahh.. i’m too lazy to uninstall them yet. lol!
Then i open iTunes, and Firefox. Only when I’m bothered enough do I go into msn. Sometimes I’m too lazy. eheh! But i’ll probably go into msn more often during the hols. you know how boring those can get..
then I would check gmail and hotmail and delete forwarded msgs. bwahahahaha.
then i would check out all my webcomics for any updates. teehee.
then a blog hopping i would go.

oh, so i’m NORMAL
When i logon, first I connect to my IM. but I DON’T USE IRC;
then i open internet explorer (you’re right, not Mozilla/Firefox) and check my Hotmail- forwarded chain mail one by one (you were right)
then my Yahoo! mail
then i visit Friendster to check my friends
and of course my friends’ friends
and the cycle goes on.
then I blog.
then I check my friend’s blogs
then I tag them
