Rules are meant to be broken, right?
Rules, rules rules. Everyday, we live with rules. We follow rules, we break rules. And there’s a saying, “Rules are meant to be broken.” Agree?
I just wonder, what is life without rules. Everyone would be doing crimes all over the place. One day you might just wake up and see all your stuff in your house is gone. Report to the police? There’s no rules, is there going to be police around?
So, now what’s life with rules? Its like the condition now. I woke up in the morning, go to school, on school uniforms, i cant be late, i cannot bring liquid paper, i cannot do this, i cannot do that. AAAAhhhh!!! What the heck.
So, is rules meant to be broken? Well, my answer is yes. If theres no rules, that means the police are going to earn nothing, right?

Rules are not meant to be broken. Some stupid rules should be. Some good rules shouldn’t be. School uniforms is so that rich and poor students can have the same status. Liquid paper is so you don’t scribble around the school (no matter how much of an angel you are). Break the stupid and nonsense rule and stick with the good ones…..

For a long time, we have lived with rules that maintain a standard living. But, as we follow rules, we break rules too, thats right.

If rules werent broken advances wouldn’t of been made within society. Sure rules such as not
killing someone make sense. But if the African Americans hadn’t of broken the rules to achieve
equality where would they be today? Jesus broke the rules, yet a large proportion of society
still worship him.
rules are placed to constrict people, and yes if they werent they society would be crazy,
but there are so many rules today that are not fair, and for society to see it differently,
we need someone to break the rules

Rules are not meant to be broken…because rules are crucial for the survival of the human race! Although sometimes rules can be a little tough to follow sometimes, keep in mind that they are always there for a reason! That’s the tricky part of rules, to always follow them even though you might not always know why there there. Have a little faith in the rules that are built because they are only there for one reason and that is for our well being.

Yes some rules are meant to be broken…just follow t one which are prominent like, but there are ly few such.lot of rules are idiotic which dominate t mankind not letting them to safeguard n survive themselves…so break such kind of rules to advance our societly…we’re in 21 century now…we cannot be following child marriage, discrimination by caste, community, money, power etc…ly since our ancestors broke those rules we’re kind of surviving now…so break t rules which are not necessary.

Of course they are often broken, but rules are meant to be followed. However, there are always exceptions. One would be the Ten Commandments. God had them written not for us to follow (we should still try), but to show us that we fall short of perfection, that we are sinners and need a Savior. It was and is impossible not to break those rules. You could say that they were meant to be broken. There are also rules that were not meant to be broken, but should be due to certain circumstances (like speeding to save someone’s life). But in general, rules are put there for a reason (although I admit some are ridiculous) to protect and control. Will they be broken? Yes. Are they meant to be? No. Should they be? Sometimes.

Emma,
Rules are always there for a reason, but sometimes the reasons are not of pure intentions or only there for our well being. “To always follow them even though you might not always know why they’re there.” This thinking is not right. If the President were to pass a law that required every citizen to give their possessions, money, children and themselves to the state, would you follow without questioning it? Granted, I don’t think he would and that’s probably not the best example, but some authority figures are selfish and twisted and make selfish and twisted laws. Think Hitler. If there ever comes a time when I have to choose following God’s rules over man’s rules, I will break man’s. You might not be of the same faith, but the principal still applies. Some rules should be broken.

Emma: have you never come up against a rule you thought was so unreasonable, or so badly thought out, that simply following it without questioning it was unacceptable to you? There are many cases of rules being made simply for the convenience of those making them, and they don’t benefit those upon whom they’re imposed.
I’ve been accused of breaking rules that had just been made up on the spot, and then was told “rules are rules”; one of the most inane statements ever to enter the English (or any other) language. Funny how the only people who ever say that…are the ones who make up the rules to begin with!
I don’t break one very important rule; the Golden Rule. But you can bet that if I think a rule is unreasonable, others will too.

It depends on what kind of rule, and why the rule exists. Some rules are meant to protect other people, some are meant to protect you, and others are meant to maintain control or convenience.
The first kind should only be broken if absolutely necessary.
The second kind should only be broken if you are aware of the consequences, and are wiling to take responsibility for them.
The third kind is o.k. to break if there is a good reason, or if the rule is unfairly restrictive.
Always use your best judgement when deciding to break rules, and when in doubt, don’t. In general rules are there for a reason, and if you don’t know that reason, you should either find out, or just follow the rule.

rules are not meant to be broken. always their is a reason beside every rule.
